As
much as the bleachers provide a place to sit, most spectators find themselves
standing to watch some of the most exciting auto racing of the year and cheering
their heads off.
The Oval Track races are entering into their 5th year of action with racers around the state marking this event on their calendars far in advance. There are some fierce rivalries forged to be resolved and you won't want to miss out on this action. Figure 8 races, which have been around for nearly 17 years now, always guarantees thrills and chills right from the 'Start your engines' ringing throughout the Grandstand. The ultimate grand finale' to the Fair is the Demo Derby at the end of the Fair weekend, a tradition started many years ago. The Fairgrounds empty out and fill the Grandstand for this smash'em crash'em endurance run.Pre-sale Tickets for all three race events available at the General Store during the fair: |

June 14 – Pre-register by June 11 or register at the gate. Fee: $40 per car per race (car and driver) to be paid by 5:00 p.m. July 12 – Pre-register by July 9 or register at the gate. Fee: $40 per car per race (car and driver) to be paid by 5:00 p.m. August 15 – Pre-register by August 14. Failure to do so will result in a double fee on Race Day. Fee: $40 per car per race (car and driver) to be paid by 3:00 p.m. and includes admission to the Fair, for the driver, race day only. FIGURE 8 Saturday, August 16, 2008 – Pre-register by August 14.
